The session featured key leaders including YB Datuk Khaidhirah binti Datuk Seri Abu Zahar, Deputy Exco for Industry, Investment and TVET Development; Dato’ Seri Wong Siew Hai, President of MSIA; CS Tan, Honorary Board Member of MSIA; and Datuk Ginie Lim, Chief Executive Officer of Invest Melaka Berhad. The discussions focused on shaping the future direction of Melaka’s semiconductor industry, including insights on the current landscape and future opportunities towards 2035.

The workshop also saw the participation of invited industry leaders, as well as representatives from academia and government agencies, who contributed valuable insights and perspectives throughout the session, further enriching the overall discussion.

This programme aims to establish an effective collaboration platform among stakeholders, as well as to discuss and formulate the overall development direction of the semiconductor industry in the state of Melaka towards the year 2035. The key purpose of this workshop is to align with the National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS) and contribute meaningfully to its goals by building on existing foundations. This effort is also aligned with the aspiration to enhance the state’s competitiveness as a key investment hub in Malaysia’s semiconductor sector.
