Invest Melaka today had the privilege of visiting Maruwa (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., where we were warmly welcomed by Deputy COO, Mr. Sathiaseelan A/L M. Satiah.

The discussions underscored a shared commitment to improving workers’ welfare, particularly in ensuring the provision of proper and comfortable dormitories in line with the Melaka State Government’s directive. Such initiatives are crucial in building a sustainable and people-centered industrial ecosystem.

During the meeting, we also encouraged Maruwa to take part in the Chief Minister’s Industry Excellence Awards (CMIEA) 2025 whicha prestigious state-level recognition that celebrates outstanding companies in the manufacturing and services sectors. Maruwa is no stranger to excellence, having proudly won the Chief Minister’s Award in 2006 and 2007 for their exemplary contributions to corporate social responsibility.

The final date for CMIEA 2025 submissions is 17 October 2025. There is still time for companies in the manufacturing and services sectors to participate and showcase their achievements in driving innovation, sustainability, and corporate responsibility in Melaka.
