Melaka has strengthened its global presence through the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with Japanese partners. Among the agencies involved are Perbadanan Melaka (MCORP), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), and the Melaka Mufti Department with Kansai University, Japan, focusing on disaster research and thunderstorm studies in the Straits of Melaka. Additional MoUs cover agricultural exports such as durian, jackfruit, pineapple and Melaka’s signature Melberic juice, as well as a biofuel project valued at RM1 billion.
This milestone reflects Melaka’s commitment to promoting investment opportunities while providing local entrepreneurs with a platform to expand into the global market.
