The Opening Ceremony of the 9th Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2025) took place on 8 October 2025 (Wednesday), from 1.30 PM to 3.00 PM at Conference Hall 1 & 2, Level 3, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, marking the commencement of Malaysia’s premier regional business platform that brings together global industry leaders, investors, and innovators under one roof.

Graced by the presence of His Highness Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, the ceremony underscored the royal commitment towards advancing Selangor’s economic development and strengthening its position as a leading business hub in Malaysia and the ASEAN region. The event featured a Welcome Address by YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin bin Shari, Chief Minister of Selangor, followed by a Keynote Address by YAB Dato’ Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, Malaysia. The ceremony also included a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Document Exchange and an exclusive exhibition tour, symbolising collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth within Malaysia’s business ecosystem.
