The MIDA Flagship Investment Seminar for the Central Region 2025 included a closed-door Breakout Session on the Pharmaceutical Industry, which aimed to facilitate focused discussions and collaboration between potential investors and key government stakeholders from the Central Region. The session explored opportunities to strengthen and expand Malaysia’s pharmaceutical ecosystem, aligning with national goals for sustainable industrial growth and investment promotion.
The programme began with a briefing by the potential investor, providing insights into possible investment areas, technological advancements, and partnership models within the pharmaceutical sector. This was followed by a Q&A session to address queries from participating stakeholders.
Subsequently, a series of pitching and one-to-one meetings were held between the potential investor and key representatives from Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and the Federal Territories, together with relevant agencies such as MIDA and other ministries. These targeted discussions served as a platform to identify viable collaboration opportunities and investment prospects across the Central Region’s pharmaceutical landscape.
By convening policymakers, state investment agencies, and private sector leaders, this session served as a strategic platform to build synergy, attract quality investments, and enhance Malaysia’s positioning as a regional hub for pharmaceutical innovation and manufacturing excellence.
