As Malaysia accelerates towards electric mobility, the focus is not only on vehicles and infrastructure, but on building the talent needed to support the transition.
At Accelskill Academy Melaka, Datuk Ginie Lim, CEO of Invest Melaka, engaged with Mr Annadurai Kandasamy, CEO of Accelskill Academy, to gain a closer look at the academy’s role in developing skills for the evolving automotive landscape, particularly in electric and hybrid vehicle technologies.
With Malaysia working towards 15% EV adoption by 2030, the need for a future-ready workforce is becoming increasingly critical. Institutions like Accelskill are equipping individuals, from transitioning workers to fresh graduates, with practical, industry-relevant skills aligned with the needs of the EV sector.
Having trained over 1,000 graduates, Accelskill is contributing to a growing pool of talent ready to support the industry’s next phase.
For Melaka, strengthening this talent pipeline will be key to supporting the state’s ambitions in the EV ecosystem and ensuring long-term industrial growth.
