Melaka’s logistics network is set to expand with the development of the Melaka Inland Port (MIP), a RM300 million investment that marks another step in strengthening the state’s position as a strategic gateway for trade and industry.
The project commenced with a groundbreaking ceremony officiated by YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Yusoh, Chief Minister of Melaka. The ceremony was also attended by Datuk Ginie Lim, CEO of Invest Melaka.
Spanning 130.7 acres in Mukim Taboh Naning, Alor Gajah, the development carries a Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM540 million.
Once fully operational, the port is expected to handle up to 25,000 TEUs each month, while generating an estimated RM120 million in value and creating around 500 high-impact professional jobs.
As Melaka continues to attract new investments, efficient logistics connectivity will remain a key enabler for businesses operating and expanding.
