Melaka is building a workforce for the future.

3 March 2026

Melaka is building a workforce for the future.

On 2 March 2026, Datuk Ginie Lim, CEO of Invest Melaka, and YB Datuk Khaidhirah binti Datuk Seri Abu Zahar, Deputy EXCO for Investment, Industry, and TVET Development, paid a visit to PEPS-JV (Melaka) Sdn Bhd to discuss strategic collaboration for the upcoming Melaka Centre of Excellence (MCOE).

The company’s management, including Mr Zaman, General Manager (Manufacturing), and Mr Nizam, Manufacturing Director, welcomed the visit and expressed their commitment to collaborate on training initiatives.

MCOE, to be established at Kota Cemerlang, will serve as a key hub for TVET training. The state’s industrial sector now comprises over 395 manufacturing industries providing more than 400,000 jobs, and the centre will provide a platform for industries to conduct upskilling workshops. TVET students can receive hands-on training based on actual industry specifications — bridging the gap between education and the workforce.

By facilitating these discussions, Invest Melaka helps ensure that MCOE’s programs meet real workforce needs and support the growth of Melaka’s industrial ecosystem.
