Melaka Industrial Booster Mobilizes Utilities to Support Infineon’s Expansion Plan

Infineon Technologies’s presence in Melaka spans more than five decades, growing alongside the state’s semiconductor industry and helping shape the ecosystem we see today.

With the company planning its next phase of backend (BE) expansion, Datuk Ginie Lim, CEO of Invest Melaka, chaired a coordination meeting to discuss the way forward and the support required for the project.

Through the Melaka Industrial Booster (MIB), the platform convened Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Koridor Utiliti Melaka and other relevant instituitions, allowing key technical and infrastructure matters to be discussed together from the outset.

As Melaka continues to strengthen its position as a semiconductor hub, supporting the growth of established investors like Infineon remains an important part of that journey.
