Melaka’s semiconductor story is growing and behind every new investment, technology and facility is one essential element: talent.
On 27 August, Invest Melaka led by CEO, Datuk Ginie Lim brought together IEG Campus, Testhub Sdn. Bhd. and its strategic partner HCLTech for a series of engagements with a focused theme.
The conversation began with a courtesy visit to Datuk Khaidhirah binti Abu Zahar, Deputy EXCO for Investment, Industry and TVET Development, where the delegation explored opportunities to strengthen semiconductor talent development and TVET capabilities in Melaka.
The discussion then continued at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). Together with UTeM’s research team led by Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Ghazali bin Omar, the delegation explored opportunities in semiconductor engineering, industry-driven skills development and innovation.
With government, industry and academia at the same table, the message was clear:
Melaka’s semiconductor ambitions will be built by the talent, knowledge and partnerships that support the industry for years to come.
Invest Melaka is proud to facilitate these connections, bringing the right people together to create stronger pathways between industry, academia and talent.
