Inside Melaka’s industrial zones, a range of manufacturers continue to build capabilities that support everyday consumer products at scale.

Datuk Ginie Lim, CEO of Invest Melaka, engaged with Mr Tai Boon Kiat, Director of New Plas Plastic Industries Sdn Bhd, on the company’s production activities and business development during a visit to its facility.

Established in 2002, the company focuses on the manufacturing of plastic cups and packaging products, operating integrated production processes that support consistent output for food and beverage (F&B) related applications.

Melaka is home to a diverse F&B manufacturing base, including export-oriented producers across snacks, confectionery, and halal food segments, which continue to generate steady demand for reliable packaging solutions.

Such engagements form part of Invest Melaka’s ongoing work with local manufacturers to understand industrial developments and evolving business needs.
