Invest Melaka and TPAC Group Discuss Growth Plans and Workforce Readiness

10 June 2026

Expanding a manufacturing operation involves more than adding new machines or facilities. Building the right workforce can be just as important.

This was one of the key themes discussed during a meeting between Datuk Ginie Lim, CEO of Invest Melaka, and Mr Kevin Sharma, Group CEO of TPAC Group.

As TPAC continues to strengthen its operations in Melaka, the company is exploring opportunities to expand its manufacturing capabilities while ensuring it has access to the technical and engineering talent needed to support future growth.

The discussion explored how industry and educational institutions can work more closely together, particularly through Melaka’s TVET ecosystem, to develop skills aligned with evolving manufacturing requirements.

Operational strength and long-term capability now depend on more than infrastructure alone. Talent, engineering capability, and ecosystem support are all part of the equation and this is where Melaka is building its foundation.
