The official launch of the “Green Sustainable Biomass Hub”, organized by Palmitco Alliance Sdn. Bhd., was held on 4 August 2025 at MDC Global Ventures Sdn. Bhd., Free Industrial Zone, Tanjung Kling, Melaka. The event was officiated by YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf bin Yusoh, Chief Minister of Melaka, and commenced with a welcoming speech by Mr. Daniel Cheow, Chief Executive Officer of Palmitco Alliance Sdn. Bhd. Also present was YB Datuk Khaidirah, Deputy EXCO for Investment, Industry, and TVET Development, alongside Datuk Ginie Lim, Chief Executive Officer of Invest Melaka Berhad, who represented the state’s commitment to supporting sustainable and forward-looking investments.
Developed with an investment of over RM30 million, the Green Sustainable Biomass Hub is the first of its kind in Melaka, offering a comprehensive suite of services including processing, storage, export, and delivery of biomass products to power plants in Japan and South Korea. The upcoming second phase will include the construction of a cold room and a gateway for importing essential food supplies. This initiative aligns with the National Biomass Action Plan 2023–2030 and is expected to open up greater opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
