Budget 2026 Engagement Session

YAB Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia attended the Budget 2026 Engagement Session with Tourism and Manufacturing Industry Players at Casa del Rio, Melaka. Also present were YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Yusoh, Chief Minister of Melaka; YB Datuk Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture; YB Datuk Wira Azhar Arshad, State Secretary of Melaka; and Datuk Zamzuri Abdul Aziz, Deputy Secretary General (Policy), Ministry of Finance.

The session highlighted key proposals including the construction of the new West Coast Expressway (WCE) extension to Johor and Melaka’s aspiration to be developed as one of the nation’s largest halal hubs, strengthening both the tourism and manufacturing ecosystems.
