A step forward in strengthening investor confidence and supporting industrial growth in Melaka

10 April 2026

A step forward in strengthening investor confidence and supporting industrial growth in Melaka.

During a recent visit to Xinyi Glass Malaysia at Elkay Industrial Park, Datuk Ginie Lim, CEO of Invest Melaka, handed over a No Objection Letter (NOL) to Datuk Sin Ket Hin, Managing Director of Xinyi Glass, for the company’s new PVB production line.

More than a procedural milestone, the NOL reflects the state’s continued support for companies expanding their operations and moving into higher-value manufacturing activities.

Xinyi Glass and its related solar operations have established a strong presence in Melaka, contributing over RM2.1 billion in investments and creating more than 1,900 jobs. From float glass and coated glass to photovoltaic applications, the group plays an important role in strengthening the state’s manufacturing ecosystem.

As existing investors deepen their footprint, Melaka remains focused on enabling long-term industrial development and supporting the transition towards more advanced and value-added manufacturing.
