The highly anticipated German Technology Park(GTP) in Melaka officially broke ground today with a ceremony officiated by the Chief Minister of Melaka, YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf bin Yusoh. This significant milestone marks the beginning of a major infrastructure development that aims to position Melaka as a strategic hub for investment, innovation, and industrial growth.
The project is jointly owned by Melaka Corporation (MCorp), Teladan Setia, Jakel Group, and Franky Construction, with these strategic partners collaborating to bring this vision to life. The ceremony was also attended by the CEO of Invest Melaka, Datuk Ginie Lim, who emphasized the importance of this development in driving economic growth for the region.
Spanning an impressive 418.63 acres, the German Technology Park will be developed in two phases:
Phase 1 will feature Semi-D factories (70′ x 160′), Terrace factories (35′ x 90′), and 22 units of industrial land. Phase 2 will include industrial and commercial lots as well as a logistics hub, enhancing the park’s capabilities as a key business and trade center.
The German Technology Park is a testament to the Government of Melaka’s commitment to transforming the state into a prime investment destination. This project is set to create over 10,000 job opportunities for skilled workers, fostering a dynamic ecosystem that will attract further business and innovation to the region.
This development aligns with Melaka’s long-term vision of becoming a leading center for industry, technology, and commerce in Malaysia.
